Unique Shopping in Bucks County

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia doesn’t really make it all that interesting most days.

While a quick drive or train ride into the city meant we had access to numerous different museums, shops, and activities, it was always great to go to a place just a short drive away.

I’m talking about a small shopping center in Bucks County Pennsylvania (PA) called Peddler’s Village.

Peddler’s Village is located in Lahaska, PA although some GPS maps will state New Hope, PA.

There are some great shops in New Hope as well, which is about a 15-20 minute drive west from Peddler’s Village (aka Peddler’s). Both can be enjoyed within the same day if you are interested in exploring both.

However, unlike New Hope, Peddler’s Village provides visitors not only with numerous different restaurants and shops to visit, but also offers a hotel, wedding venues, numerous different activities throughout the year, and an area for children to enjoy a carousel ride.

Favorite Stores

Pine & Wreath, Inc

This store is a staple in my childhood memories. Wrapped around Christmas decorations and Yankee Candles, a visit to this store anytime during the year gives me the warm fuzzy feeling of being home for the holidays.

The Mole Hole

First let’s start with the name, like who wouldn’t love a unique name like “The Mole Hole”?

This store is filled with so many unique collectibles that I could spend hours looking through the many different glass cabinets with all the different art pieces.

At The Mole Hole, you can actually find some pretty unique gifts for almost anyone from babies to adults which makes it a much go-to location if you are looking for a gift.

The Total Animal

I love this store just because you are allowed to bring your dog in (or at least you were pre-COVID). A store dedicated to the furry family member this store offers many gifts for the animal lover and animal family member alike.

Skip’s Candy Corner

If you love a plethora of candy options this is your spot! Skip’s Candy Corner offers homemade options such as fudge and candy apples along with traditional options for holidays and those childhood favorites. The best part about Skip’s Candy Corner is that you don’t really know what you will find each season as they bring in many of the favorites but a lot of unique or hard-to-find options as well.

Favorite Restaurants

Hart’s Tavern

Smoked BBQ Brisket Sandwich, southern meets the northeast. While the majority of all the options on the menu are pretty great at Hart’s Tavern, this is one of our favorite options.

The Cock & Bull Restaurant

I love a good Reuben sandwich and this restaurant serves up one of the best. But this isn’t the only great option on the menu for The Cock & Bull. Located above Hart’s Tavern, the two restaurants share parts of their menus, but also provide guests with different options no matter what your pallet calls for.

Seasonal Events

Peddler’s Village offers locals and visitors alike many different seasonal events.

During the winter season stores are decorated with lights that light the buildings and flow into the many trees throughout the village providing a light show that is unbeatable.

Around the month of November, the village also hosts a Gingerbread building competition. This isn’t unlike many competitions the village hosts. For instance, there are many.

Conclusion

If you want to find a unique gift while exploring Bucks County Peddler’s Village is a great place to do that. We enjoy going just to walk around and check out their many art competitions such as the Scarecrow competition or sandcastles throughout the year then we head over to the tavern or brewery for a beer to end the day.

Peddler’s Village has a little bit of everything for the family.
