Theme Park Rides

Dinosaur – The cars in the Dinosaur ride are bucket seats without armrests in between each seat. This can make it easier for someone who is plus-size to fit on the ride, however, each seat has its own individual seat belt which can make it a little more difficult since you cannot utilize a seatbelt extender.

Expedition Everest – A molded bucket seat with a lap bar can make this ride a little more difficult and uncomfortable for plus-size riders.

Avatar Flight of Passage – This ride is a molded seat that you put your chest/stomach area into. This can make it very difficult for anyone with a larger body to sit comfortably.

Kilimanjaro Safaris – Bench seating on the safari trucks makes it easier for plus-size individuals to enjoy the many animals on this ride.

Na’vi River Journey – Bench seating makes this ride easier for plus-size individuals to enjoy. Just know you do have to step down to get into the boat.

Kali River Rapids – This ride is similar to bucket seating, but there is no middle armrest between the two seats. However, because of the seatbelts for each seat, there is a small metal portion sticking out in between the two seats.

A plus-size rider can enjoy this ride if they are aware of the middle section of the seat may cause bruising or pain when being bounced around.

TriceraTop Spin – Very similar to the Dumbo or Aladdin’s Magic Carpet this ride is designed with bench seating meant for 2 individuals. Plus-size individuals might have difficulty sitting with another adult on the same bench, but may be able to sit comfortably with a child.

Wildlife Express Train – Bench seating makes this ride easy for plus-size individuals. The train does have minimal leg space but there are seats available without a bench in front that can provide you with the needed legroom.
