Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Plus-Size Guests

Hollywood Studios might be one of my favorite theme parks in the Disney Amusement parks. Mostly because of The Tower of Terror, but in general, I love the atmosphere of this park. However, if you are plus-size you might be wondering what you may be able to do while in this park.
Here is a list of the different theme rides and attractions to help you plan your visit to Hollywood Studios.

Theme Park Rides
Alien Swirling Saucers – Bench seating with a long seatbelt make this ride comfortable for plus-size riders.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – Once “The Great Movie Ride”, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway features bench seating car that seats 32 passengers. The leg room might be a little tight for taller riders.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – there are 6 seats in each cabin. Each seat has a specific part to the mission so you definitely want to pay attention to where you are sitting. The seats are typical car seats, with a seat belt the holds you in during your mission.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – As this is the only roller coaster in Disney World that goes upside down. For this you will have a chest restraint that buckles into your seat. The seats are molded as well to help prove more security on those loops.
Slinky Dog Dash – Molded seats with a minimal middle divider make this ride a little more plus-size friendly then others. However there is a lap bar that can make the ride uncomfortable on your legs.
Star Tours – The Adventure Continues – Individual seats with a middle section that can’t be moved. You have your individual seatbelt as well.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – Individual seats in a car for 8 can make those with wider hips and thighs much more uncomfortable.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – Not exactly bench seating since you have an individual seat with a seatbelt and handles to hold onto during the drop(s).
Shows and Experiences
Beauty & the Beast – Live on State – Bleacher seating allows for you to sit anywhere you would like comfortably to experience the show.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration – Theater seating can make this adventure a little restrictive for plus-size individuals.
Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular! – Bench/bleacher style seating under a pavilion make this idea for those hot summer days.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy – Benches make this a great experience for all.
Mickey Shorts Theater – Theater seating can make this adventure a little restrictive for plus-size individuals.
Muppet*Vision 3D – Theater seating can make this adventure a little restrictive for plus-size individuals.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid – Theater seating can make this adventure a little restrictive for plus-size individuals.
